The philosophy of the Play in the Park program is that every child should be given the best chance to grow and develop intellectually, emotionally, and socially. The program features professional staff directing activities that encourage development of individual interests, refinement of motor skills, and preparation for Kindergarten. Play in the Park is a play-based program. Children build a foundation for later learning as they solve problems and increase their understanding of themselves, other people and the world around them. We set up rooms to be welcoming and inviting places for the children to explore. Students can be signed up any time during these sessions (based on availability). Please call the director for further information on registering your child for preschool at 217-546-3970.
Play in the Park at the Washington Park Pavilion does not have open to the public hours unless there is a scheduled program time. Plan to call the Preschool Office for any additional questions.
Admission is based on which program you would sign up for.
