Eisenhower Park, added to the system in 1967-1968, is located along Taylor Avenue south of Ash Street and Southeast High School. Eisenhower Park has two contiguous sections. The park itself is 20.1 acres and contains 3 ball fields, a playground, and a park district maintenance building. Eisenhower Pool is located north and adjacent to Eisenhower Park sitting on 1.2 acres of land.
The Eisenhower Pool is the only year-round public pool in the community. It is used by school swim teams for practices and meets as well as by the general public.
The south parcel athletic fields now include 3 ball diamonds equipped with bleachers and a concession building with restrooms. A new gravel parking lot west of the fields accommodates about 150 vehicles. When school is in session, the lot is used by students. South of the fields are several acres of woodland.
Eisenhower Park received its name after Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States.
