Kiwanis Park, totalling 10 acres, became part of the park system in 1978. The park is located in southeast Springfield on Stanton Street within the Lake Victoria commercial and resident development area. It is near Lake Victoria Park but is not connected. The park is bounded by the Mary Bryant Home for the Blind on the west and by offices and commercial uses to the east and north. Apartment buildings are adjacent on the south.
Kiwanis Park is primarily a sports park but also serves as a neighborhood park for the area. It has one lighted ball field and one lighted soccer field. Additionally it has a small picnic area and playground. Vehicular access to a paved parking lot for 30 cars is provided off Stanton Street. Pedestrian access into the park is provided by a trail from Stanton Avenue city sidewalk to the parking lot cul-de-sac.
Kiwanis Park was named after the Springfield Downtown Kiwanis club for their generous contribution of $20,000 to start funding for a park that would be named Kiwanis Park. The land from Memorial Pool was also traded to acquire the land for Kiwanis Park.
